9.   &n= bsp;        Erection of 220kV, 2 Multi Circuit lines to connect 220kV Khadoli, Saily Sub-stations from proposed 400/220kV Kala Sub-station.<= /o:p>

At present, the bulk of power allocation of the state from central sector power plants is received at Kharadpada & Khadoli substation through four 220kV transmission lines from Vapi, a 400/220kV substation owned by POWERGRID, wh= ich is connected to Western Regional Grid.&nbs= p; The existing 350 MVA load from 220/66KV KV Kharadpada sub-station and 110 MVA load are being feeded from 220/66KV KV Khadoli Sub-station through 400/220KV Vapi PGCIL substation of CTU network and about 200 MVA load on 66= KV network through  220 KV Bhilad= (GEB) and 66 KV Vapi (GEB) sub-station. The work of establishment of 220/66KV Kha= doli sub-station in the southern part of UT is completed and one 160 MVA Transfo= rmer is already charged and some of the load of 66/11kV Khadoli Sub-station has = been transferred to this new Sub-station. The 400/220KV Ambheti PGCIL sub-station having capacity of 2 x 315 MVA will be extended up to 3 x 315 MVA. This sub-station is catered the load of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman partial= ly. The UT DNH  is still drawing 2= 00 MVA  load through GETCO network and considering the pending demand of @ 598 MVA, it is pertinent to establish 400/220KV, 2 x 315MVA in UT  of Dadra and  Nagar Haveli at vil= lage Kala, which in tern establish  by PGCIL as recommended by Standing Committee of Ministry of Power.=

In the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli several industries are prop= osed to be set up which would require reliable and quality power supply. Therefo= re, keeping in view the rapid growth of industries in the UT, it is envisaged t= hat present power supply arrangement to the areas in Dadra and Nagar Haveli wou= ld not be adequate. Hence establishment of 400/220KV, 2 x 315MVA sub-station at Kala is proposed under the regional project by system planning commission of Ministry of Power, New Delhi. So as to provide reliable and uninterrupted p= ower supply to industries in these areas, it is proposed to connect new 220/66KV Khadoli and proposed Sayali sub-station with this proposed 400/220KV Kala sub-station on multi circuit tower with Moose conductor. The same was recommended by the SP & PA Division of CEA, New Delhi and technical rep= ort submitted by M/s. PGCIL to MOP. This will also help in meeting the present = as well as future demand of these areas with reliability and security.  Establishment of 220KV lines will = not only improve power supply situation in terms of power quality and reliabili= ty but shall also help in reducing transmission and distribution losses. =
